Muévete en Bici (Move by Bike)

Every Sunday morning, Mexico City transforms into a cyclist's paradise with Muévete en Bici ("Move by Bike"). From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., major avenues like Paseo de la Reforma are closed to vehicular traffic, allowing thousands to bike, skate, jog, or stroll freely through the city. This open-streets initiative, launched in 2007, promotes sustainable mobility and community engagement, drawing up to 80,000 participants weekly. Wikipedia

The event spans approximately 55 km, connecting diverse neighborhoods and offering a unique perspective of the city's landmarks. Along the route, you'll find free activities like yoga classes, bike maintenance stations, and cultural performances. Lonely Planet Don't have a bike? No problem—Ecobici, the city's bike-sharing program, provides rentals at various points. Wikipedia
